April 1

APRIL

. . . proud-pied April, dress'd in all his trim.
Hath put a spirit of youth in everything,
That heavy Saturn laughed and leaped with him.
       Shakespeare (Vol. 40, p. 278)

"Oh! to Be in England Now That April's There"

Read:  From Browning's POEMS (The Harvard Classics: Vol. 42, pp. 1068-1074)
